Mission Statement: Potwin Presbyterian Church is a safe and sacred place to worship God where Christ’s love is revealed through actively and joyfully sharing, caring, and giving to others in our congregation, community, and world.
We feel called by God to serve in the following ministry areas:
- Feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, etc. (Matthew 25: 31-46)
- Improving the lives of children in our neighborhood, state, country and world. (Matthew 10: 40-42)
- Encouraging human creativity as inspired by our Great Creator through music, art, drama, etc. (Genesis 1:1-5)
- Provide a space for the healing powers of Christ to work through us. (John 21:15)
We welcome all who would come join us in this work. Please explore this website to learn more and to find ways in which you can partner with us in worship and ministry.

Sunday School is being offered in-person for grades Pre K-5. We have partnered with First Presbyterian Church of Topeka and invited our youth in grades 6 through 12 to participate in their Youth Group. They currently meet every Sunday at 12:00 PM for Fun, Faith, and Fellowship. You may contact a member of the Sunday School team at Potwin Church for more information or the Associate Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Pat Yancey, at pyancey@fpctopeka.org for more information regarding Youth Group.
Our Church Staff
We are currently working to find a pastor to fill the pulpit since Pastor Sue Ann Seel has retired. Our office is staffed by volunteer members of the congregation Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Other staff members include a part time secretary, a financial secretary, a treasurer, and a music director.
